4 2day we will expose to the world some paper scribblings that my or may not be the genesis of a new song or two. Originally I was thinking one song, but then I saw the potential for two different tunes, or at least a track with a kickin bridge.

After a few months of not playing my guitar too much (was sick in October), last weekend I began learning two new songs, and they’re coming along well. The first is Hurt, the Trent Reznor / Nine Inch Nails song so definitively covered by Johnny Cash. The second song I am learning is Big Hard Sun, written by Gordon Peterson of Indio but recently made known internationally by the Eddie Vedder cover, which is on a new movie soundtrack cd.
